Wellness and Prevention Education

Judicial Programs

 

Students may be referred to Wellness and Prevention Education Services as a part of a judicial sanction related to a violation of campus policy regarding alcohol, drugs, or other health education issues. Referral sources may consist of the Vice President of Student Affairs, the Director of Residence Life, Housing Coordinators, Residence Assistants, Athletic Coaches and others.

 

JUDICIAL PROGRAM WITH OR WITHOUT SUBSTANCE ABUSE SCREENING

Students may be referred to an individual prevention education program that may consist of completing a substance abuse screening, participating in a computer-based educational program, and/or meeting with a counselor or health educator to discuss healthy decision-making issues. This program consists of 2 sessions with the completion of outside assignments prior to the 2nd session. Students who complete a judicial program must sign a release of information in order for a letter to be sent to the referral source regarding participation in the program.

COST

There is a $55 fee for judicial programs payable in the cashier's office (ADM125).

APPOINTMENTS

Sessions are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, bring a receipt for payment from the cashier's office to the Student Counseling Center in UC3170.
