Social Media at UT Tyler

Setting up Social Media

If your department currently has a social media site representing The University of Texas at Tyler in any way, please follow the following steps:

1. Review the UT Tyler Social Media guidelines.
2. Have two administrators from your area set up for your Facebook site and add the UT Tyler Webmaster as an administrator to your page: Robin Kelly web@uttyler.edu.
   1. If it is not possible to have two administrators from your department to represent your FB page, contact Robin for consultation. 
3.  Please follow the steps to set up the application/page for your Facebook page to install the UT Tyler Social Media Policy. If you do need assistance with setting up your policy page, contact Robin Kelly for assistance.
4. Once you have completed these steps, email web@uttyler.edu and include the name of your Facebook page along with names and emails of your Facebook administrator.

These steps should be completed by April 15, 2011.
