UT Tyler Announces First HRD Doctoral Program Cohort

The University of Texas at Tyler has admitted 24 students to its human resource development doctoral program for the fall 2011 semester, Dr. Harold Doty, College of Business and Technology dean, announced.

Offered within the Department of Human Resource Development and Technology, the executive-based doctoral program allows students to work full-time while attending class once a month. It focuses on organizational development and change in the context of business and industry that integrates a strategic management perspective.

“Our goal is to develop scholar practitioners as well as academic scholars who are capable of making independent contributions to the HR profession and serving in leadership positions in business and industry and/or higher education,” said Dr. Jerry W. Gilley, department chair.

MANSFIELD – Nicole Phillips.

MINEOLA – Diana McBurnett.

TYLER – Paula Anthony-McMann, Katrina Baxter, Demetra Baxter-Smith, Garnesha Beck, Jana Belzer, Tammy Clements-Burnette and Catherine Cockrell.

WHITE OAK – Jimmy Rumsey.

WHITEHOUSE – Susan Adams.

MICHIGAN – Darius ‘Bo’ Chapman.

LOUISIANA – Mary Lynn Lunn.

VERMONT – Ame Lambert.

The program has attracted human resource professionals, health care administrators, educators, academic advisers, talent managers and project managers.
