The University of Texas at Tyler College of Business and Technology will hold the 2011 Hibbs Institute Economic Forecast Summit Wednesday, Oct. 5 at the UT Tyler Ornelas Activity Center, 3402 Old Omen Road, Dr. Harold Doty, College of Business and Technology dean, announced.

The public event will be 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and feature keynote speaker Susan Combs, Texas comptroller of public accounts.

“We will be presenting our annual East Texas Business Sentiment Index, which will be based on consensus opinions gathered from owners and employees of hundreds of businesses across the East Texas region,” said Dr. Vivek Pandey, summit coordinator and institute director.
