The University of Texas at Tyler recreational sports department will hold a Zumbathon 1 – 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Herrington Patriot Center, Bob Hepler, rec sports director, announced.

This community event serves as a fundraiser to assist those affected by the tornado in Joplin, Mo.

Tickets are $25 at the door, $20 in advance and $15 for students with valid ID.

Partners include Mission Tyler and area Zumba instructors.
