The 2011 Juried Student Exhibition at The University of Texas at Tyler Meadows Gallery will be May 2 – Aug. 5, Ray Sikes, Meadows Gallery coordinator, announced.
The annual public exhibition features work from undergraduate and graduate UT Tyler art students. Each student has submitted up to three two- or three-dimensional pieces.
“Their work will be juried by the art faculty, and certain pieces will be selected to receive awards and scholarships. Most can be purchased by the general public,” Sikes said.
A public opening reception and awards ceremony will be 6 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5 at the gallery.
The Meadows Gallery is located in the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special appointment.
