NEWS TIP: College Art Day at UT Tyler March 4

Students from regional colleges have been invited to attend The University of Texas at Tyler College Art Day and Juried Art Exhibition Friday, March 4, Gary Hatcher, art and art history department chair, announced.

The event, which will be 9 a.m. – noon at the Fine Arts Complex lecture hall, provides the opportunity for students to learn more about the UT Tyler Department of Art and Art History, meet art professors and tour facilities.

Participants in the accompanied art exhibition also will compete for university scholarship awards.

“This recruitment event is a great way for us to introduce our department to the college community and meet potential future students,” said Merrie Wright, assistant professor of art and event coordinator.
