Guest Performances from Haerbin, China at UT Tyler

Two music faculty from Haerbin Teacher’s College in Haerbin, China will give public performances and a guest lecture at The University of Texas at Tyler Braithwaite Recital Hall, Dr. Jeff Emge, associate professor of music, announced.

Wei Zhao will give a lecture about Chinese traditional songs at 12:30 p.m. and Xiao Jie Sun will perform a piano recital at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17. Zhao also will perform a voice recital at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19.

The events are hosted by the university’s Department of Music in partnership with the UT Tyler Friends of the Arts.
