Sonja Morale has been named The University of Texas at Tyler interim registrar, Charlie Hutchins, assistant vice president for enrollment management, marketing and customer service, announced.
She replaces LaTonya McCoy, who resigned due to a relocation.
As interim registrar, Morale will oversee all activities related to student academic records and registration, publish class schedules and coordinate commencement activities.
She will serve as interim until a permanent registrar is named.
Morale is associate registrar and has served at UT Tyler since 2006. She previously served as an assistant registrar and recorder at the university.
Morale holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Houston and is a current student in the UT Tyler master of science in human resource development program.
Her professional memberships include the American and Texas Associations of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.
