MEDIA ADVISORY: UT Tyler Chamber Music Recital set for Nov. 15

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Performing Arts will host a faculty and guest artist chamber music recital Monday, Nov. 15.

The public event will be 7:30 p.m. at the Braithwaite Recital Hall in the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.

Repertoire for the recital includes Hindemith’s Variations for Clarinet and Strings and Quintet in B Minor, Op. 115, by Johannes Brahms.

Performers include violinist Mark Miller, concertmaster of the East Texas Symphony Orchestra; Beth Elsner, concertmaster of the Abilene Philharmonic; Ute Miller, principal violist of the ETSO; and Dallas-area cellist Karen Smith; and clarinetist Dr. Michael Thrasher, UT Tyler School of Performing Arts director.
