Media coverage for the Joseph Z. and Louise H. Ornelas Lecture featuring President George W. Bush (Tuesday, Oct. 19) will follow proceed as follows.
Photographers:
Video
• Permitted to capture the first three (3) minutes of President Bush’s remarks for b-roll. Video only, no audio. No other recordings will be permitted.
• Permitted to photograph the first three (3) minutes of President Bush’s remarks. One (1) minute with flash, two (2) minutes without flash. No other photos will be permitted.
Equipment Sweep:
The U.S. Secret Service requires that all equipment be swept at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19 and equipment must be left at the UT Tyler Cowan Center.
Media must enter through the front of the Cowan Center. Doors will open at 3:00 p.m.
Those who cannot leave their equipment or cannot meet this time requirement will not participate.
Lecture (7:30 p.m.)
Media photographers will assemble at the north end of the White Lobby and reclaim cameras. Media can position themselves in the auditorium (please do not obstruct anyone’s view of the stage) and will wait for the signal to begin filming/taking photos.
After three (3) minutes, media will get signal to stop and exit auditorium.
