MEDIA ADVISORY: UT Tyler to Hold 2010-11 Convocation

The University of Texas at Tyler will kick off the 2010-11 academic year with 2010 Convocation Monday, Aug. 23, President Rodney H. Mabry announced.

Convocation begins at 8:30 a.m. in the University Center Auditorium.

Officials will introduce new faculty members and present academic and service awards. President Mabry will give the state of the university address.

Fall classes begin Wednesday, Aug. 25.
