“This very special virtual exhibit, entitled ‘Sarah McClendon: An East Texan in Washington,’ is accessible via the Robert R. Muntz Library’s website,” Pyle said. “Sarah McClendon was one of the first female White House news correspondents. The exhibit showcases materials based on her autobiographies and the Sarah McClendon Papers, which are housed here.”

McClendon presented materials, photographs and documents from her life and work as a gift to the university in 1992.

To view the exhibit, visit http://library.uttyler.edu/exhibits/mcclendon/index.html.

Physical items from the exhibit and other collections may be viewed by researchers at the UASC 1 – 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, or by appointment.
