HOMETOWN RELEASE: Frisco Resident at UT Tyler Recognized for Outstanding Leadership

Student leaders and organizations at The University of Texas at Tyler were recognized during the 2010 Student Leadership and Service Awards Banquet, Dr. Howard Patterson, vice president for student affairs, announced.

Among awards presented, Amanda Maynard of Frisco received the 2010 Outstanding Student Organization Member Award.

University students, faculty and staff submitted nominees, and winners were chosen by a selection committee consisting of faculty and staff. The UT Tyler Office of Student Life and Leadership sponsored the awards reception.

Maynard currently serves as marketing director for the Financial Management Association student organization on campus. The UT Tyler FMA provides finance students opportunities for job networking and prospects, community service involvement and applying classroom knowledge.
