UT Tyler 2010 Greek Week Set

The University of Texas at Tyler’s fourth annual Greek Week is March 22 - 26, Ona Tolliver, Office of Student Life and Leadership director, announced.
This year’s activities include car window painting, Greek banner and “Can Castle” competitions and keynote speaker Rick Barnes presenting “Leading with Your Letters."
“The purpose of Greek Week is to promote Greek unity through healthy competition and fellowship as a Greek community,” said Brittany Childs, student development specialist who oversees fraternity and sorority affairs. “This is one of many traditions on campus that helps to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood and create lasting memories of students’ Greek experiences at UT Tyler.”
Events open to the campus community include the Patriot Act Improv comedy show, faculty/staff appreciation breakfast, “Step Up” movie presentation, snow cone giveaway and recreational sports luncheon.
The UT Tyler Greek Week Steering Committee organized the week.
UT Tyler implemented Greek life in 2006 and currently recognizes two fraternities and four sororities.
