UT Tyler to Present 2010 Spring Musical
The University of Texas at Tyler School of Visual and Performing Arts and Department of Music will present the 2010 spring musical “Bye Bye Birdie” Feb. 7 – 8, Dr. Molly Johnson, associate professor of voice and director of opera and music theater, announced.
Performances are 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7 and 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8 at the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students, seniors and groups of 10 or more. There is no admission charge for UT Tyler students, faculty and staff.
Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance in the UT Tyler Fine Arts Center, room 2009.
“Rock star Conrad Birdie is about to be inducted into the army. As a farewell publicity stunt, he travels to the town of Sweet Apple, Ohio to give a farewell kiss to one of his biggest fans, 15-year-old Kim MacAfee,” Johnson said.
