MEDIA ADVISORY: Artist Jeff Forster Presents Public Lecture, Demo at UT Tyler

Distinguished visiting artist Jeff Forster will present a public lecture and demonstrations of his work Tuesday, Jan. 19 at The University of Texas at Tyler ceramic art studio, room 133, Merrie Wright, UT Tyler assistant professor of art, announced.

Demonstrations will be 9 a.m. – noon and 3 – 5 p.m. with a slide talk at 2 p.m.

Forster holds a master of fine arts in ceramics from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. He has taught at the Glassell School of Art in Houston and served as interim chair and adjunct instructor at North Harris College. Forster’s work has been exhibited across the country. A Minnesota native, he currently lives in Kingwood.
