UT Tyler Student Awarded Volunteer Service Scholarship

Seven students at The University of Texas at Tyler are fall 2009 semester recipients of a university volunteer service scholarship.

Recipients of the Stella Crews and Douglas Erwin Dyer Service Scholarship in the amount of $500, listed by hometown with classification, are:

CHANDLER – Jordan Magee, senior

EDGEWOOD – Marc Randle, graduate student

LINDALE – Alyssa Allegretto, junior; and Hannah Gilbert, junior

TYLER – John Paine, graduate student

VAN – Erica Bender, junior; and

LOUISIANA – Chin-Nu Lin, graduate student.

To be considered for the award, applicants must hold a minimum 3.5 GPA and submitted a letter of recommendation and verification of community service participation this semester.
