MEDIA ADVISORY: UT Tyler Fall 2009 Commencement

The University of Texas at Tyler will hold fall 2009 commencement ceremonies Dec. 18 and 19, President Rodney H. Mabry announced.   

The commencement schedule is:

• College of Nursing and Health Sciences – 3 p.m. Dec. 18;
• College of Arts and Sciences – 6 p.m. Dec. 18;
• College of Business and Technology – 10 a.m. Dec. 19; and
• Colleges of Education and Psychology and Engineering and Computer Science – 1 p.m. Dec. 19.

Commencement speakers and the ceremonies during which they will speak include:

• Dr. John English, Bethesda Clinic executive director/medical director – Colleges of Nursing and Health Sciences and Arts and Sciences.

• Amy Proctor, Texas Bank and Trust, Tyler vice president and trust officer – College of Business and Technology.

• Dr. James Nelson, UT Tyler College of Engineering and Computer Science dean – Colleges of Education and Psychology and Engineering and Computer Science.
