NEWS TIP: UT Tyler Office of Sponsored Research Provides Research Database for Student Use

To promote student engagement in research, The University of Texas at Tyler Office of Sponsored Research is now allowing access to a funding database for all university students, Dr. Arlene Horne, vice president for research and federal relations, announced.

Sponsored Programs Information Network is a funding opportunities database designed to provide up-to-date information on funding opportunities.

“This represents a significant opportunity for UT Tyler students to gain access to up-to-date information on current federal, non-federal and international funding opportunities, including research grants, publication support, conference support and more,” Horne said. “Access to this resource can have a considerable impact on UT Tyler student research and publications.”

SPINPlus allows users to search the database using selections from various categories – including keywords, location, sponsor and deadline – and have matches emailed directly to them.
