HOMETOWN RELEASE: Humble Resident Named Officer of UT Tyler HR Management Society Chapter

Shannon Sutton of Humble, a senior at The University of Texas at Tyler, has been named vice president for the student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management,, Dr. Harold Doty, College of Business and Technology dean, announced.

Sutton is majoring in business management.

Dr. James H. Browne, associate professor of management, and Dr. Paul Roberts, associate professor of technology, serve as the student chapter’s faculty advisers.

The student SHRM chapter is sponsored by the East Texas Human Resource Association. Since 2005, ETHRA has established a scholarship fund to assist UT Tyler students pursuing a degree related to the human resource management field.
