MEDIA ADVISORY: UT Tyler "Totally Awesome '80s" 2009 Homecoming Set

The University of Texas at Tyler will hold 2009 Homecoming Oct. 12 – 17, Dr. Howard Patterson, vice president for student affairs, announced.

“Totally Awesome ‘80s Homecoming” events include:

Wednesday, Oct. 14

• 2 – 11 p.m. University Center Ballroom: ‘80s Movie Marathon.

Thursday, Oct. 15

• 7 – 10 p.m. UC Ballroom: Patriot Idol singing competition featuring UT Tyler students.

       Friday, Oct. 16

• 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Ornelas Activity Center: Distinguished Alumni Luncheon.
• 5 p.m. Irwin Field - Baseball Complex: Patriot Tailgate Party.
• 7 p.m. Irwin Field - Baseball Complex: Alumni Baseball Game.

       Saturday, Oct. 17

• 11 a.m. Sports Café: Red River Shootout Watch Party.
• UT Tyler women’s soccer game at 6 p.m., followed by men’s soccer game at 8 p.m.
• 9 p.m. UC Ballrooom: ‘80s Homecoming Dance.
