MEDIA ADVISORY: UT Tyler to Hold 9/11 Memorial Events

The University of Texas at Tyler will hold special events to commemorate the anniversary of Sept. 11, Dr. Howard Patterson, vice president for student affairs, announced.

The UT Tyler Black Student Association will host its 4th annual Unity Picnic 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9 at the Harvey Lake Deck.

On Friday, Sept. 11, the UT Tyler Student Government Association will hold a candlelight vigil at 8 p.m. at the Dub and B.J. Riter Millennium Carillon Tower.

The university community is invited to attend both events.
