UT Tyler Offers Commercialization, Entrepreneurship Boot Camp
The University of Texas at Tyler will host a public commercialization and entrepreneurship boot camp Friday, Oct. 2, Dr. Arlene Horne, vice president for research and federal relations, announced.
Sponsored by the UT Tyler Office of Sponsored Research and the UT Dallas Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the camp is designed to provide an introduction to the technology commercialization process, including the identification and evaluation of market opportunities for new technologies, technology commercialization processes and guidelines, intellectual property considerations, development of business plans and the financial sources available.
The event will be 8 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. in the UT Tyler University Center Ballroom. Registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 25. Lunch will be provided.
The Commercialization and Entrepreneurship Boot Camp is an extension of the highly successful program conducted at UT Dallas, which will consist of a series of interactive lectures led by top professionals and educators.
