NEWS TIP: UT Tyler Student Research Poster Competition April 24

Students at The University of Texas at Tyler who previously won internal research grants in December 2008 will present their findings in a poster competition Friday, April 24, Dr. Arlene Horne, associate vice president for research and federal relations, announced.

The public event will be 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the UT Tyler Herrington Patriot Center Lobby.

Posters will be judged in two rounds. First place will receive a $200 cash award and an all-expenses paid trip to a national meeting in the author’s expertise area to present his/her research results. Second and third place will receive $100 and $50, respectively.

Each student-presenter will be on hand to answer questions from the public regarding their research/poster.
