NEWS TIP: UT Tyler Students Making a Difference During Spring Break

The University of Texas at Tyler Office of Student Life and Leadership has accepted student volunteers to help with a Habitat for Humanity affiliate during spring break.

The UT Tyler group will join forces with other student volunteers to build houses March 8 – 11 in Corpus Christi.

Based in Americus, Ga., Habitat for Humanity International is an ecumenical Christian ministry that welcomes to its work all people dedicated to the cause of eliminating poverty housing.

Through combined efforts, Habitat has built more than 225,000 houses around the world, providing more than one million people in about 3,000 communities with safe and affordable shelter.
