NEWS TIP: UT Tyler to Host Region VII Model UN Conference

The 2009 Model United Nations Conference for area middle and high school students will be Feb. 3 – 6 at The University of Texas at Tyler Ornelas Activity Center, Dr. Robert Stevens, UT Tyler professor of education and Model UN Conference coordinator, announced.

About 300 students from 13 school districts in Region VII will participate this year, according to Stevens. 

Participants will make presentations representing a pre-selected country. Groups also will propose solutions to global problems within their respected countries and debate.
