MEDIA ADVISORY: UT Tyler Chapter of Psi Chi to Hold Research Day

Psychology students and faculty will present their research as part of The University of Texas at Tyler East Texas Student Research Conference to be held 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 in UT Tyler Robert Muntz Library, room 401.

Dr. William Ickes, distinguished professor of psychology at UT Arlington, will serve as keynote speaker. The campuswide conference is hosted by the UT Tyler Psi Chi Chapter.

Event schedule:

• 8:30 a.m. – Registration, networking breakfast.

• 9:15 a.m. – Opening remarks from Dr. Chuck Barke, professor and psychology department chair.

• 10 a.m. – Student paper presentations.

• 11 a.m. – noon – Poster session.        

• Noon – 1:30 p.m. – Faculty research presentations.

• 2:30 p.m. – Dr. William Ickes to speak.

• 3:45 p.m. – Closing remarks, awards.
