MEDIA ADVISORY: Faculty Research Day at UT Tyler

The University of Texas at Tyler Office of Sponsored Research will hold Faculty Research Day Friday, Sept. 26, Dr. Arlene Horne, associate vice president for research and federal relations, announced.

During the all-day event at the UT Tyler Braithwaite Building, UT Tyler faculty who have received internal faculty research grants will present their research. Internal faculty research grants are intended to provide faculty members with funds to complete the preliminary research needed to be able to compete for external funding, according to Horne.

Research presentations include:

• Turtle communities in Sabine River.
• Managing insect-transmitted pathogens.
• Indoor air in homes and allergies.
• Impact of toll roads and welfare.

The public and university community is invited to attend the presentations. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
