MEDIA ADVISORY: UT Tyler to Hold 2008-09 Convocation

Dr. Rodney H. Mabry, President of The University of Texas at Tyler, will deliver his state of the university address at convocation on Aug. 25.

Convocation, the official start of the 2008-09 academic year, will begin at 8:30 a.m. in UT Tyler’s R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.

Officials will introduce new faculty members, and faculty and service awards will be presented.

Fall classes begin Wednesday, Aug. 27.
