UT Tyler School of Business Administration Accepting Students in Internship Program
Mildred Blowen (from left), UT Tyler Business Internship Program coordinator, meets with Brookshire Grocery Company representatives Broderick McGee, human resources generalist and Ashley Sorrell, internship program manager, to discuss the program.
The Brookshire Grocery Company is just one of many local businesses who have partnered with the university in the program, which provides student internships in accounting, business management and other related fields.
The University of Texas at Tyler School of Business Administration students are invited to participate in the Business Internship Program, Dr. Jim Tarter, College of Business and Technology dean, announced.
Various positions in accounting, business management and other fields are available within local businesses such as Red Cross of Tyler, SuddenLink Media, Children’s Village, Tyler’s YMCA and Brookshire Grocery Company.
“This gives our students a great opportunity to receive college work experience and training in their desired field of study,” said Mildred Blowen, UT Tyler lecturer in business, who also serves as the Business Internship Program coordinator.
The program is open to juniors and seniors who carry at least a 3.0 GPA and complete course requirements. Interns may work in either the summer, fall or spring semester.
