MEDIA ADVISORY: Artist Lisa Ehrich Presents Lecture Feb. 8 at UT Tyler

Distinguished visiting artist Lisa Ehrich will present a lecture and demonstrations of her work on Feb. 8 at The University of Texas at Tyler, Merrie Wright, UT Tyler assistant professor of art, announced.

As part of the two-day workshop, Ehrich will give a lecture beginning at 11 a.m., followed by demonstrations 12 – 3 p.m.

Both events will be held in UT Tyler’s ceramic art studio, room 108 and are free and open to the public.

Ehrich, chair of the art department at Brookhaven College in Dallas, has shown her ceramic work nationally and has been included in many publications.

Her current work combines both wheel-thrown and hand-built components to create organic, luscious basket forms.
