HOMETOWN RELEASE: Elkhart Residents Recognized at UT Tyler Commencement

Three Elkhart residents were among 651 degree candidates recognized by The University of Texas at Tyler in fall commencement ceremonies held Dec. 14 and 15.

Elkhart residents and their degrees are:

Tina Marie Chambless, B.A., psychology; Tracey Robin Grabs, B.S.I.S.; and Ashley N. McElroy, B.A., health and kinesiology.

President Rodney H. Mabry gave commencement remarks and certified the degree candidates. Presentations of degree candidates were made by the deans of each of the university’s colleges.

One of the 15 campuses of the UT System, UT Tyler offers excellence in teaching, research, artistic performance and community service. More than 70 undergraduate and graduate degrees are available at UT Tyler, which has an enrollment of more than 6,000 high-ability students at its campuses in Tyler, Longview and Palestine.
