HOMETOWN RELEASE: Palestine Residents Recognized at UT Tyler Commencement
Sixteen Palestine residents were among 651 degree candidates recognized by The University of Texas at Tyler in fall commencement ceremonies held Dec. 14 and 15.
Palestine residents and their degrees are:
Andrew Joseph Petty, M.S.I.S.; Laurie J. Brantley, M.S., nursing; Stacey Elaine Arthur, B.A.A.S.; Zachary L. James, B.S., political science; Colin Sean Selden, B.B.A., management; Naisha C. Walker, Sara S. Pedersen and Krista Scott Young, B.A., psychology; Tina A. Beckman, Shelly J. Ray, Lawren Trim and Ashley Nicole Ward, B.S.I.S.; Jason Aaron Bomer, B.S., kinesiology; and Ashley Nicole Brown, Shawna D’Lynn Rodgers and Candice Joeline White, B.S., nursing.
President Rodney H. Mabry gave commencement remarks and certified the degree candidates. Presentations of degree candidates were made by the deans of each of the university’s colleges.

More than 70 undergraduate and graduate degrees are available at UT Tyler, which has an enrollment of more than 6,000 high-ability students at its campuses in Tyler, Longview and Palestine.
