HOMETOWN RELEASE: Gladewater Residents Recognized at UT Tyler Commencement
Nine Gladewater residents were among 651 degree candidates recognized by The University of Texas at Tyler in fall commencement ceremonies held Dec. 14 and 15.
Gladewater residents and their degrees are:
Angelica M. Player, M.B.A.; Daniel Blair, M.Eng.; Scott R. Smith, B.S, music; Nathan Wade Manley, B.S., criminal justice; Amanda Davis, B.S.I.S.; Christopher Yohn, B.S, mechanical engineering; Richard Matthew Ellis, B.A., health and kinesiology; and Nicole Evette McCoy and Deborah E. Smith; B.S., nursing.
President Rodney H. Mabry gave commencement remarks and certified the degree candidates. Presentations of degree candidates were made by the deans of each of the university’s colleges.

More than 70 undergraduate and graduate degrees are available at UT Tyler, which has an enrollment of more than 6,000 high-ability students at its campuses in Tyler, Longview and Palestine.
