UT Tyler Professor Appointed to Editorial Board of Family Science Review
Dr. Davor Jedlicka, professor of sociology at The University of Texas at Tyler, has been appointed to the Family Science Review editorial board, Dr. Alisa White, UT Tyler College of Arts and Sciences interim dean, announced.
As an editorial board member, Jedlicka will oversee manuscripts for inclusion in the publication. Formerly known as The Journal of Teaching in Marriage and Family, the Family Science Review is a journal which seeks to publish conceptual, theoretical and empirical articles focusing on the scholarship of teaching and learning in the field of family science.
“I think it reflects well on UT Tyler,” said Jedlicka. “Appointment to a prestigious, refereed national journal recognizes my contribution to the field.”
A UT Tyler faculty member since 1982, Jedlicka holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Hawaii and a Ph.D. in family therapy from Texas Woman’s University. He has published in many internationally-known journals in the area of marriage and the family.
Jedlicka also recently served as a volunteer counselor for the American Red Cross, where he
assisted with workers in New York at ground zero.
