LaTonya McCoy has been named The University of Texas at Tyler registrar, effective Sept. 1, Dr. Richard Osburn, UT Tyler provost and vice president for academic affairs, announced.
As UT Tyler’s registrar, McCoy will maintain class schedules and grades, process registration requests and hold other related duties.
McCoy currently serves as associate registrar at UT Tyler and has served in that capacity since 2005. She has been with UT Tyler since 1990 as assistant registrar, senior admissions counselor, information services specialist and admissions assistant.
“With this background and experience at UT Tyler, LaTonya will be able to lead us into the next phase of development of UT Tyler,” Osburn added. “We had some very good candidates, and the search committee deserves our thanks for their hard work.”
McCoy holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from UT Tyler and an associate of applied science degree from Kilgore College.
