Dr. Richard A. Swanson, distinguished research professor of human resource development and Sam Lindsey chair at The University of Texas at Tyler, delivered two invited presentations in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Jim Tarter, UT Tyler College of Business and Technology dean, announced.
Swanson served as the keynote speaker for the Korean Society for Corporate Education’s 10th annual conference. Nearly 400 attended Swanson’s session titled “Strategic Initiatives: Opportunities for Korean Corporate Educators to Take the Lead.”
The society consists of Korean corporate leaders committed to human resource development, performance improvement and workplace learning.
Swanson also was invited to present a symposium to faculty and graduate students at Seoul National University, Korea’s premier research institution. The symposium focused on holistic theory building research methods for applied disciplines such as nursing, management, information science and human resource development.
He also has written and consulted extensively about the strategic aspects of developing and implementing human expertise in organizations.
