Cowan Center Circle memberships for The University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center in support of the 2007-08 season are now available, Susan Thomae-Morphew, UT Tyler Cowan Center director, announced.
Clint Black will open the Cowan Center’s eleventh season which includes the Performing Arts Series, Distinguished Lecture Series, Broadway Series, Braithwaite Intimate Gatherings Series, Arts in Education Series and Special Events. This season, Cowan Center Circle members at the Supporting Role level and above will enjoy a garden gala reception with the country music star. Those attending the members gala must be 21 years or older.
A multiple-platinum artist who brought country music into popularity during the early 1990s, Clint Black will perform with his six-member band for this one-night only concert. He will not only perform some of his latest songs, but an array of his #1 hits including Killin’ Time, Nobody’s Home and Walkin’ Away. Black will release a new single this summer and a new CD in the fall.
Circle membership levels range from $50 individual to $15,000 executive producer. All members have the opportunity to purchase individual show tickets first after subscriptions and before they are available to the public. Additional benefits include acknowledgement in the Cowan Center lobby and a variety of benefits at the various member levels.
“The UT Tyler Cowan Center is proud to present world-class performing arts and educational programming with intellectual content, cultural value and artistic merit,” said Thomae-Morphew. “Financial support is crucial to its success. Ticket sales cover only a percentage of the costs and the remainder must be raised through corporate sponsorships, grants, endowments and private donations at all levels. The generosity of the community through the membership program helps elevate the quality of programming available each season.”
