Julie Pollard has been named to The University of Texas at Tyler career services staff, Krista Richardson, UT Tyler coordinator of career services, announced.

As UT Tyler career services’ new employer relations specialist, Pollard develops contacts with faculty to encourage their involvement with career development activities for students. She also advises students regarding job-search strategies and job-search skill development, including resume and letter preparation, interview techniques and networking.

She began her duties at UT Tyler May 1.

Pollard previously served as a foster parent recruiter for The Bair Foundation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas A&M University.
