Students at The University of Texas at Tyler will have the opportunity to get free coffee and a midnight breakfast during finals week, Dr. Howard Patterson, assistant vice president for student affairs, announced.
UT Tyler finals will be May 7 -11.
Food services will host its second midnight breakfast on May 7 in the Metamorphosis Cafe. They will begin serving at 11 p.m., and it is free to students with meal plans.
“We just wanted to offer the students something to relax a little for finals,” said assistant food services director Darryl Breaux.
The breakfast is open to all students. University administrators, faculty and staff will help serve the breakfast.
Food services held the midnight breakfast last fall and 200 students participated.
For the fifth year the UT Tyler Robert R. Muntz Library will have free coffee for students 7:30 – 11 p.m. May 6-10.
“We do it as a courtesy to students,” said outreach and web coordinator Joanne Buendtner. “We just want to do our part.”
