The University of Texas at Tyler will present recent artwork by graduating students Monday, April 2 at the opening of the annual senior exhibition in the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center Meadows Gallery.
The exhibition, prepared and executed in partial fulfillment of the university’s bachelor of fine arts degree, continues through April 20.
Featured works include paintings, drawings, photographs and functional and sculptural ceramics completed during study at UT Tyler. Exhibiting artists are Amber Berry, Allison Chew, Lecia Ferguson, John Simmons and Jonathan Syltie.
A reception featuring the artists is scheduled 6 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 6 at the gallery. Refreshments will be provided.
Gallery talks will be held in the Meadows Gallery the week following the reception.
John Simmons and Jonathan Syltie will speak at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 10. Amber Berry, Allison Chew and Lecia Ferguson will speak at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 11.
The exhibition is available for viewing during regular Meadows Gallery hours of 9a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or through special appointment by calling 903.566.7250. The gallery is closed on academic holidays.
