SMU Art Professor to Speak at UT Tyler

Dr. P. Gregory Warden, professor of art history at Southern Methodist University, will present “Uncovering the Etruscans: Excavations at the Sanctuary of Poggio Colla, 700-178 BC” on Friday, Dec. 2 at The University of Texas at Tyler, Bridget Sandhoff, assistant professor of art history, announced. 

The public lecture will be 1:30 p.m. at the UT Tyler Fine Arts Complex, room 112.

Warden will discuss his work and research at the Etruscan settlement site of Poggio Colla in the Mugello Valley, near Florence, Italy.

He serves as the associate dean for academic affairs at SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts and recently received the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity.
