U.S. Government Conducts Nationwide Emergency Test Alert

On Wednesday, Nov. 9, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Communication Commission will conduct the first national test of the Nationwide Emergency Alert System.
This test will begin at 2 p.m. Eastern (1 p.m. Central) and will run concurrently across all time zones.
It is designed to broadcast a nationwide message to the American public that will run concurrently on all radio and TV bands and the message will run for three minutes.
