Spotlight: Tyler Fisher, Matthew McClellan

UT Tyler, represented by Tyler Fisher of Flint and Matthew McClellan of Tyler, won the inaugural Ranger Cup University Challenge bass fishing tournament Aug. 25 – 26 on Choke Canyon.
The duo qualified for the two-day tournament by finishing in the top 10 at the 2011 National Guard FLW College Fishing National Championship.
They received a $2,000 cash prize and will be featured on Americana Outdoors and the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship television series on Versus network.
Both Fisher and McClellan are founding members of the UT Tyler Bass Club, which began in fall 2009 as both a student organization and recreational club sport.
