Spotlight: Gail Johnson

Gail D. Johnson, adjunct lecturer of management, presented a workshop entitled, “Leadership, Professional Branding and You!” at the 2011 National Conference of College Women Student Leaders at the University of Maryland – College Park.
Johnson has taught management and critical thinking courses at UT Tyler since 2005. Her primary teaching interest is career management strategies. Her focus centers on assisting students with developing their professional brand; and transitioning that brand into an effective elevator speech, resume and cover letter.
She was recognized by the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs as a Lifetime Member. She also was awarded the AAUW Educational Foundation, Tyler, Texas Branch 75th Anniversary American Fellowship and named the 2010 – 11 “Professional Woman of the Year” by the National Association of Professional Women.
Johnson currently serves as president of the American Association of University Women – Tyler branch.
