Medical Shelter Simulation

The UT Tyler College of Nursing and Health Sciences, in collaboration with the North East Texas Public Health Department, held a medical shelter simulation earlier this month at the UT Tyler Ornelas Activity Center.
In the clinical simulation, nursing students cared for populations with special needs during a natural disaster. About 60 – 75 participants, including university students, faculty and the public health department team members participated.
The Regional Advisory Council sponsored the event.
