The Patriot Softball team returned to campus May 24 after earning 3rd place in the 2011 NCAA Division III Softball Championships. Proudly displaying one of their individual trophies, they end their season with a 40-13 record.

Under head coach Mike Reed (back row, far left), the Patriots posted their fourth-consecutive season of at least 30 wins. Since becoming eligible for the NCAA postseason in 2008, the UT Tyler softball program has advanced to the national tournament every year. Including this season, the Patriots have won two Regional Championships and made two trips to the NCAA Finals in the last three seasons.
