College Art Day at UT Tyler

Students from regional colleges have the opportunity to learn more about the UT Tyler Department of Art and Art History through its College Art Day and Juried Art Exhibition Friday, March 4, Gary Hatcher, art and art history department chair, announced.

The event will be 9 a.m. – noon at the Fine Arts Complex lecture hall and allows potential future students to tour facilities and meet professors.

“This recruitment event is a great way for us to introduce our department to the college community,” said Merrie Wright, assistant professor of art and event coordinator.

Participants in the accompanied art exhibition also will compete for university scholarship awards.
