Spotlight: Jeff Austin III

Double alumnus Jeff Austin III was named chairman of the Texas Bankers Association for the 2010-11 fiscal year.

He was installed as chair during the association’s 126th annual convention in San Antonio.

A fourth generation banker and vice-chairman of Austin Bank, Texas N.A. in Jacksonville, Austin holds a bachelor of science and master of business administration, both from UT Tyler.

Before returning to the family banks, his banking experience includes working for Capital Bank and Texas American Bank in Dallas and Wells Fargo in California.
